DIVISION COMMANDER - SHERRY KISVER

Setting Our Course

I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as the Division Commander for 2009.

We should now be stronger in numbers as we steer into a new and exciting year.

The Division staff is ready to take on all tasks to see our goals through the year.

Our goal this year as a Division is to increase member involvement. If we invest in our people early on, our retention will increase and we will develop leaders that are needed in the future.

Members joined the Auxiliary because they wanted to make a difference as well as improving their boating knowledge and skills. Let’s reach out to others and offer programs that were the reason to join our great organization.

I recently found an article written by past Commodore Steven Budar. It states “Are you having fun yet? If not, you had better look around and try to figure out what you are not doing that those of us who are having fun are doing. For most of us, fun =involvement.”

The members of Division 14 have a lot of history. I go back over 22 years and could not think of one time when a member from any Flotilla was not there to support me.

I believe in our division and have great dreams for our future.

Although our work is more serious than ever, it must be fun! We can do anything when we put our minds to it, TOGETHER.

Semper Paratus!
